Latest News
As the consortium develops, the most up-to-date developments and information about DOI or MultiLink development and partnerships will be posted on the site.

Invitation to Annual Meetings
There will be two Annual Meetings held for members: one in London, during the week of the Online Information conference and exhibition (first week in December), and the other during the Special Libraries Association (SLA) conference in North America which is held at the beginning of June.

These meetings will allow members to share knowledge, demonstrate successful partnerships and case studies, and develop new relationships.

Partner Linking Service
Access to a range of services based on the Partner Linking Database in order to easily find and embed listed members’ DOIs.

Hosting of Members’ Samples and DOI Catalogue
All Level 2 members will have the opportunity to have their company marketed under Members’ Samples, providing  the major benefit of generating double impact on search engine rankings rather than home sites alone, thereby generating higher revenues. Up to 10,000 DOI links will be offered, but listings above this number can be negotiated at additional costs.

Discounted rate for MultiLink Server Software
Content Directions, Inc. (CDI) has agreed to offer CBIL members a fixed price of $25k for CDI’s MultiLink Server Software.  Because this represents a software purchase, this fixed price can also be capitalized in members’ accounts, providing additional business tax benefits (as opposed to a set-up project or a service fee with the software included).

Whether applying DOIs to a member’s own product range or to work with a partner’s DOIs, the software allows the MultiLinks to be tailored and manipulated as required, offering greater potential for both partners.

The multi-linking cost (i.e. design and implementation of the MultiLinks) is offered as an incremental pay-as-desired service on top of the base level $25k for the software. Special customization of the MultiLinks can then be directly driven by whatever the publisher/partner chooses for maximum results and ROI.
