What is CBIL?

CBIL is a forum for publishers and information professionals seeking to both maximise the value of, and contribute to, the development of multi-linking through the Handle System – the new linking standard for the Web created by Internet pioneer Dr. Robert Kahn. The Handle System is the platform underlying “linkstorms” (from Linkstorm Corporation, formerly Content Directions, Inc.), the Digital Object Identifier (DOI), and other linking applications used by the Library of Congress, the U.S. DoD and others. CBIL enables members to meet new partners, share best practices and ultimately improve on solutions in the marketplace.
